The Hundred: Jemimah Rodrigues played 2 matches for the Northern Superchargers in the ongoing season of The Hundred in England.
India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of The Hundred competition in England due to an injury, the organisers said on Friday, August 19. Jemimah played 2 matches for Northern Superchargers in the ongoing season but her campaign in the 100-ball tournament has come to an early end.
Jemimah Rodrigues was in fine form, hitting a 32-ball 51 in the Northern Superchargers' season-opener on August 11. However, Jemimah's brilliant fifty at the top was not enough for the Norther Superchargers against Oval Invincibles. Jemimah last played for the Superchargers on August 14.
"\Northern Superchargers batter Jemimah Rodrigues has unfortunately been forced to end her season in The Hundred due to injury," The Hundred said in a statement.
Republic of Ireland international Gaby Lewis has been named as Jemimah's replacement for the Superchargers.
Jemimah was in fine form for India at the Commonwealth Games, scoring 146, including a fifty in 5 matches in Birmingham. India lost to Australia in the final and finished with a silver medal in women's cricket debut at the CWG.
Jemimah was the second-highest scorer in the inaugural edition of The Hundred, scoring 249 runs in 7 matches.
