The Batman vs Jhund box office collection: Robert Pattinson shines, Big B's film has dull weekend

Robert Pattinson's The Batman had a fantastic weekend whereas Amitabh Bachchan received a dull response at the cinemas. Check out the first weekend box office collection of both movies.
Robert Pattinson's The Batman released in cinemas on March 4 and so did Amitabh Bachchan's movie, Jhund. Unfortunately, Big B's movie has failed to rake in good numbers at the box office as compared to Robert Pattinson's superhero film. While The Batman fared well over its first weekend, Jhund had a dull weekend. The Nagraj Manjule directorial could only mint Rs 4.4 crore nett. On the other hand, The Batman has set the cash registers ringing with its collection of approximately Rs 22 crore nett.
According to Box Office India, The Batman has done a fantastic business in Europe and the United States Of America (USA). The report states that though it would never have got a mass audience in India, the Hollywood movie has done a good business due to multiplexes.
On March 3 (Thursday), The Batman raked in Rs 75 lakh at the box office, followed by Rs 5.75 crore on March 4, Rs 7.5 crore on March 5 and Rs 7.75 crore on March 6. Summing up these figures, the total BO collection of The Batman stands at approximately Rs 21, 75,00,000 crore nett.
As per the same report, Amitabh Bachchan's movie, Jhund, had a dull weekend. The film failed to work wonders at the box office as it could only earn Rs 4.4 crore nett over a period of three days. A major part of the collection of Jhund is from Maharashtra.
On the day of its release (March 4), the film collected Rs 90 lakh nett, followed by Rs 1.5 crore on March 5 and Rs 2 crore nett on March 6. The total BO collection of Amitabh Bachchan's movie Jhund stands at approximately Rs 4.4 crore.
