The Ashes: Pat Cummins recorded his first win as Australia captain as the hosts cruised to a nine-wicket win over England in the first Test at Brisbane

Pat Cummins hailed his Australia team mates for sticking to the task despite England's fightback on Day 3 as the hosts won the first Test by nine wickets on Saturday. It was Cummins's first win as Australia's Test captain and the fast bowler himself took seven wickets over the course of the match.

"I really enjoyed it, a lot of things did go right, probably from the toss - overcast conditions, wicket had a bit in it, turn up day two and it's blue skies. So someone was smiling on me," Cummins said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
