The Ashes: Ricky Ponting said that Marcus Harris worked hard to get his half century but may have relaxed a bit after going past that point which may have factored in him missing out on a maiden Test century.
Australia opener Marcus Harris played his best Test innings thus far in the third Ashes game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground but may have missed an opportunity to convert the half century into a maiden century, former captain Ricky Ponting has said. Ponting said that a lot more errors creeped up in Harris's innings once the 29-year-old crossed his half century.
Harris, whose place in the squad was being questioned due to a string of low scores across the four innings he played in the series, scored 76 off 189 balls before falling to James Anderson.
