The Ashes: Ben Stokes said that he was clutching his knees in the first Test because of an old injury that "looks worse than what it is" and is something that he knows how to manage.
Ben Stokes has played down concerns over his knee injury, saying that it's an old niggle that he knows how to manage. Stokes had pulled up and hobbled off the field during Australia's first innings in the first Ashes Test, which England lost by nine wickets.
"People will have seen me rubbing my knee from time to time when I was in the field, but rest assured I'm fine. It is an old injury that flares up every now and again, but I know how to manage it," Stokes wrote in a column for The Mirror.
