The Ashes: Australia captain Pat Cummins returns for the third Test in place of Jhye Richardson, who took a five-wicket haul in England's second innings in Adelaide. Scott Boland, meanwhile, will play his first Test and first international match since October 2016.
Australia captain Pat Cummins returns for the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), which is set to get underway on Sunday. Fast bowler Scott Boland, meanwhile, is set to make his Test debut, replacing Michael Neser ahead of the injured Josh Hazlewood in the playing XI.
The 32-year-old Boland, who plays his domestic cricket at the MCG, will become only the first indigenous Australian test player since Jason Gillespie played his last match in 2006 when he receives his baggy green cap on Sunday.
