Shiv Sena workers reached the Ulhasnagar police station with their flags to capture it and police tried to intervene. However, the exact reason behind Shiv Sena's intention of capturing the police station is yet to be ascertained.
In the video, Shiv Sena Chief Somnath Patil and Nandu Mhatre can be seen engaging in a verbal spat with the police. However, no attempt was made to fully capture the Ulhasnagar police station.
The workers can be heard saying in the video, "Another police station has been constructed in the area. We have to establish our own branch here."
Shiv Sena President in Ulhasnagar Rajendra Chaudhari said, "The police station was built around 25 years ago by our party and now police officers have got another police station. We demand that the old police station be given back to us or else we will contact the builder. If the situation remains the same, the land would lie defunct."
