Republican Senator Ted Cruz stormed out of a school in Texas when asked about the gun reforms in the wake of the worst school shooting incident.
Republican Senator Ted Cruz is facing backlash following one of the worst school shooting incidents in United States history. A teenage gunman opened fire in an elementary school in Texas and killed 21 people, including 19 children, sparking debate on much-needed gun reforms. And Ted Cruz is at the heart of this issue.
Speaking to reporters after the Texas shooting, Ted Cruz said, "We need to devote far more law enforcement resources to stopping violent criminals."
Ted Cruz is well known for blocking all Democratic Party attempts to change gun laws in the country. On Thursday, May 26, during a community mourning event following the deadly shooting, Ted Cruz stormed off the stage over questions about gun reforms.

"Inevitably, when some violent psychopath murders people if you want to stop violent crime, the [gun law reform] proposals the Democrats have? None of them would have stopped this," Cruz said.
