Tesla Says Working With China to Probe Crash Involving Policemen

Tesla Inc. has confirmed that two Chinese policemen were injured in a collision on Monday involving one of its electric cars and has pledged to work with authorities to investigate the matter.
The California-based company said in a Weibo posting that it made a report to a government agency about the accident, which occurred in the eastern city of Taizhou. An official Xinhua News report said that one of the policemen was seriously injured, and that the Tesla driver was detained. Footage of the accident, reported widely by Chinese press, was spreading quickly on social media on Tuesday. Another crash is also still under investigation in China after a Tesla rear-ended a truck in Shaoguan in Guangdong province on May 7, killing the driver of the EV, according to a Global Times report.
