Terrorist who shot dead bank manager killed in J&K’s Shopian, killer of teacher trapped in Kulgam

One of the slain terrorists in the Shopian encounter has been identified as the killer of bank manager Vijay Kumar. In an ongoing operation in Kulgam, security forces have trapped school teacher Rajni Bala’s killer.
Two terrorists were gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian on Wednesday. One of the slain ultras was involved in the killing of a bank manager in Kulgam earlier this month, police said.
The terrorists, killed in the encounter which broke out in the Kanjiular area of Shopian, were identified as Jan Mohammad Lone and his associate Tufail Gunai. Both belonged to proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to Kashmir zone police.

Bank manager Vijay Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, was working in Kulgam district. He was shot dead by terrorists in broad daylight on June 2, amid a spike in targeted killings in the Valley of late.
