Terror module of Hizbul Mujahideen busted in J&K's Kulgam, 3 associates held

Kulgam police busted a terror module of proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen by arresting three terrorist associates. In Baramulla, the police arrested two people belonging to the JeM hybrid module.
Police in Kulgam busted a terror module of proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen by arresting three terror associates. Besides, police along with security forces have arrested two hybrid terrorists linked with proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in the Pattan area of Baramulla.
Incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, have been recovered from their possession.
In Kulgam, police busted a terror module of Hizbul by arresting three terror associates involved in the case pertaining to the killing of a Panch, Mohd Yaqoob Dar. Weapons used in the killing of the Panch, including one pistol, eight pistol rounds and two grenades were recovered from their possession.
During the course of the investigation, it was learnt that an active terrorist of Hizbul, identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat, had received directions from terror handlers based in Pakistan to target the PRI members of Kulgam.
On their directions, he identified the target and further gave directions accordingly to active terrorist Raja Nadeem Rather to execute the terror act with the support of their associates Nasser Ahmad Wani, Adil Manzoor Rather and Majid Mohd Rather. The directions included conducting a recce of the Panch's presence, arrange transport and provide logistics to execute the terror act.
During further investigation, the involvement of one more person, Idrees Ahmad Dar, has surfaced. He was also part of the crime and is still at large. However, according to reports, he had joined the terrorist ranks.
It is pertinent to mention that the said module is linked with an already busted Hizbul terror module involved in the killing of Sarpanch Shabir Ahmad Mir. Both the busted modules received directions from their Hizbul handlers based in Pakistan.
