Teraa Surroor was only about Himesh Reshammiya ka suroor. On Wahiyat Wednesday
India Today
Teraa Surroor turns 5 tomorrow, March 11. And we recalling the horrors of watching this film, 5 years ago.
Every few years, we are subjected to a Himesh Reshammiya film, and we ask ourselves, why? Why were we made privy to this information, why are we looking at posters and promotional material of the film, but most of all, why can't we stop humming the silly yet infectiously catchy songs from the said film even though our ears are bleeding now? But then that's Himesh Reshammiya for you, you just can't ignore him or his films. And certainly cannot miss his hairdo in this one which is basically the Cap 2.0, complete the visor and everything. On this week's Wahiyat Wednesday, we, therefore, discuss his 2016-released film, Teraa Surroor, which turns five tomorrow, March 11. Because, why not? Just as the extra letters in the title of the film weren't needed, the film itself wasn't needed. At 1-hour-46-minutes, Teraa Surroor is just one long music video - or a jukebox - with one song blending into another. Slick frames capture well-dressed people walking about. But the focus firmly remains on but one man - no points for guessing. But without any logic or coherency, Teraa Surroor fails to be what it sets out to be - an action thriller. Yes, it was supposed to be one. Alas!More Related News
