As per the prediction by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall is likely in many areas of North Bihar over the next 3 days, which will bring down the temperature in the state, further providing relief from the heatwave conditions.

For the next 3 days, there will be heavy rain in many districts of North Bihar accompanied by thunderstorms, said IMD, advising residents to stay indoors.
As per the prediction by the weather department, for the next 3 days, rainfall is likely in the districts of North Bihar, including Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Araria, Supaul, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, East Champaran and West Champaran.
Rain along with wind is expected in some areas such as East Champaran, West Champaran, Saharsa and Madhubani on Tuesday, providing relief from the heat.
Due to the rains in North Bihar, there will be a drop of 2 to 5 degrees Celsius in the temperature over the next 3 days, said IMD.
On the other hand, many districts of South Bihar are currently reeling under heatwave conditions. On Tuesday, Patna recorded the temperature at 37.2 degrees Celsius, which was about 5 degrees lower than Monday.
