Temperature drops at most places in Kashmir, fresh snowfall in Gulmarg

The weatherman has predicted that it would continue to rain with possible snowfall at the upper reaches till March 15 in Kashmir.

As the weather continues to be rainy in the Kashmir valley, hill stations like Gulmarg also received fresh snowfall. A meteorological department official said that Gulmarg, the world-famous skiing resort, received 2.5 centimetres of fresh snowfall in the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature recorded was minus 3.5 °C in Gulmarg. In Srinagar, the officials said that fresh rains were received which measured around 1.1mm in the last 24 hours even as it recorded a low of 4.3°C against 5.2°C the previous night. The temperature was 1.0 °C above normal for this time of the year in Srinagar.
