Telecommunication services disrupted in Yellowknife
CBC
Internet and TV service is down in Yellowknife, according to Northwestel.
The telecommunications disruption began around 1 p.m. on Friday. The company suspects it's been caused by damage to the fibre infrastructure.
Northwestel spokesperson Andrew Anderson said phone and cellular service is still working, but the system is heavily congested.
He said crews are working to fix the problem but customers could expect to be without some services for several hours.

Health Minister Adriana LaGrange is alleging the former CEO of Alberta Health Services was unwilling and unable to implement the government's plan to break up the health authority, became "infatuated" with her internal investigation into private surgical contracts and made "incendiary and inaccurate allegations about political intrigue and impropriety" before she was fired in January.
