Telangana to pass all Intermediate First Year students: State Education Minister

The Education Minister of Telangana has informed that all Intermediate First Year students will be awarded passing marks in lieu of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Telangana government will be awarding minimum passing marks of 35 to all those Intermediate First Year(Class 11) students who failed their exams, thereby passing them.This decision was taken after only 49 percent of Intermediate First Year students passed their examination and caused protests from both the opposition parties and students' unions.
Those protesting demanded that this should be considered sympathetically in lieu of the Covid-19 pandemic.
