Telangana minister KTR extends financial aid to 2 girls for higher education

IT and Industries Minister, Telangana, KT Rama Rao extended financial assistance to two sisters from Jayashankar Bhupalpally District to complete their medicine and engineering courses respectively.
IT and Industries Minister, Telangana, KT Rama Rao has come forward to provide financial assistance to two students, Kaveri (21) and Shravani (18) from Jayashankar Bhupalpally District, to complete their medicine and engineering courses respectively.
Both the girls, who are sisters, come from humble backgrounds and studied in government-run TSWREIS and TS Model Schools, who were struggling to get a quality education and further pursue their dreams.
Kaveri completed intermediate with 95% and got admission to the MBBS course at Surabhi Medical College, Siddipet and Shravani secured 97% in intermediate and got admission to B.Tech (ECE) at NIT, Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh.
While both students got free seats based on their merit, they were unable to pay other fees including hostel and mess fees.
Meanwhile, the father of the girls, Raja Malu, is a B. A (Pol. Science) graduate who had previously worked as a teacher in a private school. However, he lost his job during Covid and is currently working as a daily wage worker.
After learning about their situation through social media, Twitter, the Minister offered help to the sisters.
Minister KTR had personally assured financial assistance to both the girls until they completed their courses.
