In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Telangana government has announced that it will provide financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the Dalit families in the state. With a budget of Rs 1,200 crore for the first phase, the scheme will cover 100 families each from all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state.
