The Telangana government reduced school timings with the rising temperature due to the heatwave.
The Telangana government has reduced school timings due to soaring temperatures in the ongoing heatwave. The revised timings are 8 am to 11:30 am from March 31 to April 6 as per the announcement by the education department.
The reduced timings will apply to all primary, upper primary and high schools (government, aided and private). Mid-day meals at the school would be provided before 11:30 am.
On Wednesday, the maximum temperature reached 42.3C in Adilabad.
As per the weather forecast and farmer's weather bulletin, dry weather is likely to prevail over Telangana from March 30 to April 3.
March 30 to April 2 is likely to see a gradual increase in maximum temperatures by two or three degrees at a few pockets over Telangana.
On April 1 and 2, heatwave conditions are likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityal, Kamareddy, Peddapalli and Karimnagar districts of Telangana.
On March 31 and April 1, Hyderabad was predicted to get a party cloudy sky while thunderclouds were likely to develop during the evening/night.
