Telangana Flags Vaccine Shortage, Says Stocks Left For Less Than 3 Days

Telangana has joined several states in flagging a shortage of COVID-19 vaccines to the centre, and has written to Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan saying that the state's vaccine stocks would last only for three more days. In a letter sent to Mr Bhushan on Saturday, Telangana chief secretary Somesh Kumar asked for 30 lakh doses of vaccines for the next 15 days. He said the state has only 5.66 lakh doses left which would "last for three days at maximum." The letter said that the number of vaccinations crossed 1.15 lakh per day on Friday and the state wants to increase this capacity to 2 lakh per day.More Related News
