Telangana educational institutes barring medical colleges shut from today

The schools, colleges and all other educational institutes in Telangana, apart from medical colleges, have been shut down from today, March 24.

The government of Telangana has taken the decision to shut down all educational institutes, including schools and colleges, across the state from today, March 24, in view of the rise of Covid-19 cases across the state in the past few days. The educational institutes have been shut down with immediate effect and will remain closed till further orders of the government. The state government has also stated that the medical colleges in Telangana will remain open and continue normal functioning. Apart from educational institutes, all student hostels have been asked to shut down as well and students are being urged to return to their hometowns. This is because school hostels have reported many Covid-19 cases in the past few days.
