Telangana CM Revanth Reddy mourns the loss of Tamil Nadu Congress leader Kumari Ananthan, praising his contributions to society.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday (April 9, 2025) expressed grief over the demise of senior Tamil Nadu Congress leader and noted literary figure Kumari Ananthan (Harikrishnan Nadar Ananthakrishnan), father of former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
In his condolence message, Mr. Reddy remembered the senior leader as a patriot inspired by Gandhian ideals and a devoted admirer of Tamil language and literature. He stated that Kumari Ananthan’s contributions to public life and society would be remembered for long.
The Chief Minister recalled that Kumari Ananthan had served four terms as a Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and once as a Member of Parliament (MP), rendering valuable public service throughout his career.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Ms. Soundararajan and other members of the bereaved family. He prayed for peace to the departed soul.
