An 18-year-old driver of the reckless crew who doused an unsuspecting NYPD traffic enforcement agent with a fire extinguisher in a twisted prank has been arrested, police said.
Ammar Alhesheshi was behind the wheel of a gray sedan with three passengers when the car slowed down on Saint Nicholas Avenue near 118th Street as it approached a marked NYPD cruiser just before 7 a.m. last Thursday, cops said.
The front passenger yells “Yo!” at the 43-year-old traffic agent and unloads the fire extinguisher into the cruiser’s driver’s window, disturbing footage of the encounter shows.
The people in the sedan can be heard in the clip laughing and driving away as music plays in the background.
Alhesheshi was arrested in the Bronx Wednesday and charged with second degree assault, police sources said.
The curly-haired teen, dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, kept his head down as he was led by cops out of the 28th Precinct in Harlem in handcuffs.
