Senior India pacer Mohammed Shami has hailed India's bench strength and youngsters, saying that retirement of even a 'big name' will not cause much trouble to the team. Notably, Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav were missing from India's last Test match against Australia in Adelaide during the 2020-21 tour but that did not stop the youngsters like Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar to deliver on the occasion and help the team breach Australia's Gabba fortress to seal the series 2-1 in their favour. Notably, the hosts had not lost a Test match at the Brisbane Venue even once in the last 32 years. Mohammad Siraj became the leader of the attack in only his 3rd Test match and net bowlers like Shardul Thakur, T Natarajan and Washington Sundar got unexpected opportunities, which they grabbed with both hands.More Related News
