
Teacher thrashes Class 2 student in UP's Prayagraj; family demands action

A primary school student from Prayagraj’s Onor village in Uttar Pradesh was brutally thrashed by his teacher who even put a stick in his mouth. The child’s family has demanded that action be taken against the teacher.
A primary school teacher, from Onor village in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, thrashed a second-grader in a fit of rage, even putting a stick in the child’s mouth. The victim has suffered serious injuries to the throat and a FIR has been registered at the Meja police station after his brother complained to the police.
Ankit, the son of Anil Kumar Prajapati, is a resident of Onor village and studies in Class 2 in primary school. The teacher, identified as Roshni Mishra, was infuriated with Ankit about an unknown matter and kept on slapping him. After that, she picked up the stick and put it in Ankit’s mouth.
Ankit’s brother Prabhat Kumar has demanded action against the teacher. Station house officer (SHO) at Meja, Dhirendra Singh, said that further action is being taken by registering an FIR against the accused.
