Tata Sons, the holding company of Tata Group, is one of the leading contenders to acquire Air India as the government looks to wrap up the sale of the debt-laden airline by the end of this calendar year or by the first quarter of 2022. The salt-to-software conglomerate and SpiceJet CEO Ajay Singh have emerged as the two final bidders for Air India.
