A 34-year-old woman in Tamil Nadu's Kanchipuram ended up undergoing surgery after a toothbrush got stuck inside her mouth in an accident. The woman identified as Revathi slipped at her home while brushing, leading to the incident.
When she fell, her face made a heavy impact with the ground and the brush tore through her cheek and got stuck.
Revathi was rushed to Kancheepuram government hospital where doctors, after examining it, concluded that the toothbrush was stuck inside her dental cavity in such a way that it could only be operated on and removed through her cheek.
A small incision was made on Revathi’s right chin and part of the brush that came out through her cheeks was cut off. The brush was cut into two pieces and then removed. The one half stuck inside her dental cavities was operated on and removed.
Revathi is currently under observation for a few days, after which doctors believe that she will recover completely.
