Tamil Nadu Police recently reunited a 13-year-old foreign national with his parents after he ran away from home in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura. The boy's parents, Vasudeva and Alexandra Jarvinan, had settled in Mathura for spiritual reasons.
The 13-year-old was also enrolled in a school in the temple town. A few days ago, the parents went to the police and filed a missing complaint. Much to their relief, they soon got a call from the Tamil Nadu Police.
After running away from home, the boy hopped on a train that took him to Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. He was wandering the streets of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu for two days before being picked up by a police patrol team.
When cops finally spoke to the boy, they were surprised to hear him speak in English and Russian. Upon questioning, the boy revealed that he had run away from home.
On cross-checking with Mathura Police, it was found that the boy's parents had indeed filed a missing persons report.
Tamil Nadu Police then summoned the boy's parents and handed over the runaway to his family.
District Superintendent of Police Hari Kiran Prasad counseled the boy before sending him home with his parents.
