The Tamil Nadu BJP slammed DMK ally VCK, alleging that the state is veering towards a dangerous path with “divisive forces taking centre stage”.
Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai hit out at the ruling DMK's alliance partner Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) for ‘speaking the language of separation’.
K Annamalai shared a video of VCK leader Vanni Arasu, wherein the latter could be heard saying that his party will fight Sanathana forces with the ideology of Anna, Periyar and BR Ambedkar.
“On this Remembrance Day for Sengodi, let us pledge to gain total freedom for Tamil Nadu, Tamil people’s rights and to make Tamil Nadu a unique State of Indian Union. This is our duty,” Vanni Arasu can be heard saying in the video.
The Tamil Nadu BJP chief tweeted the clip and said, “Tamil Nadu is slipping towards a dangerous path with divisive forces taking centre stage, and the clueless DMK government is encouraging it without knowing the consequences! Their alliance leaders - with MPs and MLAs in their party - speaking the language of separation as they don’t have anything worthy to bring it to the people’s stage!”
