Tamil Nadu govt sets up disabled-friendly ramps at Chennai's Marina Beach

The pandemic and the recent rains in Chennai had pushed the event where ramps are set up for differently-abled people to access the beach.

The Greater Chennai Corporation after a gap of 2 years, has made the beach accessible to differently-abled people. The pandemic and the recent rains in Chennai had pushed the event where ramps are set up for differently-abled to access the beach.

"The event which was planned for a week has been extended till January 16, 2022, so that differently-abled people can enjoy the sea and the marina beach for a longer duration," said Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Sing Bedi.
