Lockdown in Tamil Nadu was extended by another week, and some relaxations in Covid curbs were also announced for certain districts, after discussions with medical experts
The Tamil Nadu government has decided to extend lockdown in the state until June 28, following consultations with medical experts. However, some Covid-19 restrictions have been eased in certain districts. Public transport has been allowed to operate at 50 per cent occupancy, while in Chennai, the Metro has been given the green light to run with a 50 per cent cap on seating. Standalone grocery stores and vegetables markets can open from 6 am to 7pm. Restaurants and small eateries can provide delivery and take-away from 6am to 9pm. E-commerce has been allowed to function from 6 am to 9 pm.More Related News
