A blast at a cracker factory at Kathalampatti village in Sattur town claimed one life on Wednesday. The Ammapatti Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
In a tragic incident, a worker from a cracker factory in Kathalampatti village, Sattur town, Tamil Nadu, lost his life after a massive fire broke out on Wednesday morning.
The blast occurred in the chemical compound mixture room of the factory, which is being run by a person named Periyakarupan from Sivakasi.
The factory has 15 separate rooms where crackers were produced.
When the fire and rescue service officials reached the spot, they found that the room was completely blown off due to the blast.
They recovered the body of 26-year-old Solaivignesh from the blast site, following which the Ammapatti Police registered a case.
The investigation is underway and further details are awaited.
