MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, has written a letter to the chief ministers of twelve states urging them to support his request to the central government to provide moratorium on loan repayment to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). I have requested the Union Government to offer moratorium to MSMEs and small borrowers who are facing a crisis due to #COVID19's second-wave. I have also written to the CMs of 12 states urging them to raise the demand together to Fin Min @nsitharaman & RBI Guv @DasShaktikanta. pic.twitter.com/ZYMS0jmIzo Stalin wrote the letter to the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and West Bengal. CM Stalin said that a moratorium was offered on repayment of loans to such borrowers in April 2020 when the Centre announced the nationwide Covid lockdown. However, in April-June 2021 when lockdowns were imposed locally by state governments, similar relief had not been provided to MSMEs.More Related News
