Tamil Nadu: Campaign demanding release of Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts launched on Twitter

Several political parties in the state including DMK and AIADMK have been in favour of releasing the seven convicts.

A Twitter campaign has been launched in support of the release of the Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts. Several celebrities and politicians are now joining a Twitter storm to tweet about the release of the 7 convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. The hashtags used are #31yearsofInjustice #StandWithArputhamAmmal Arputham Ammal is the mother of Perarivalan, a convict in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Arputham Ammal has made several requests to the different CMs of the state and has also given a letter of request to Union Minister Amit Shah in 2019.
