Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan, who was in the news for spreading misinformation about Covid-19, is undergoing surgery in Chennai for kidney stones. The actor was granted anticipatory bail by Madras High Court for his remarks on the Covid-19 vaccination.
On Monday (May 10), Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan was hospitalised in Chennai for kidney stones. The actor has undergone several tests and will be prepped for surgery soon. Earlier, Mansoor made headlines in a viral video when he claimed that there was no clarity on the ingredients used for the Covid-19 vaccine and blamed the Health Secretary for misleading people. He also linked the death of Tamil actor Vivekh with the Covid-19 vaccine, saying that ‘if Vivekh had not taken the vaccine, he would have lived.’ The Chennai city police booked Mansoor for spreading misinformation on Covid-19. However, the actor was granted anticipatory bail by the Madras High Court and was asked to pay Rs 2 lakh to the Health Secretary to purchase Covid-19 vaccines.
