To gauge their reaction, we spoke to a section of Afghanistan scholars in Chandigarh. "What will happen to my family? What will happen to my nation? What will happen to our dreams, future and reputation? There is uncertainty. Will there be a civil war? Will there be a Sharia law? These are our worries," says Abdul Monir Kakar (30), a Ph.D. scholar at Panjab University who is doing his research on Afghan-Iran relations. His family lives in Kabul.
