'Take what you need, leave what you can': Youth set up 'Blessing Hut' in Assam's Dima Hasao amid pandemic

A group of youth in Assam's Dima Hasao district has started a unique initiative called 'The Blessing Hut' in a bid to help the underprivileged section of society.
The Covid-19 pandemic has thrown unprecedented challenges in the lives of many people who are facing hardships of all sorts. With the aim to help the economically poorer section of people during this pandemic situation, a group of youths in Assam's hill district Dima Hasao has come forward and started a unique initiative called 'The Blessing Hut' as part of their social duty. With a simple rule of 'Take what you need, leave what you can', The Blessing Hut located at Natun Leikul village, about 11km away from Dima Hasao district headquarters Haflong, has now become the most popular among villagers of the area. The idea is that nobody goes hungry during the Covid-19 crisis hours and the dignity of people is protected as they don't have to beg.More Related News
