Taiwan's Opposition Parties Fail to Agree on Joint Candidate for President
Voice of America
Presidential candidate Ko Wen-je of the Taiwan People’s Party speaks in Taipei on Nov. 18, 2023. The Nationalist Party and the People's Party were expected to unveil a joint candidate but instead said they disagreed over the polling data they were using to make the selection.
Taiwan's two main opposition parties have failed to agree on a joint candidate for president, once again throwing into doubt their ability to unseat the ruling party in January's election.
