Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Shabaash Mithu. There's a positive buzz around the film ever since the trailer was released. The actress is going out and about to promote her movie, which is based on the life of Indian Cricketer Mithali Raj. Taapsee will be seen playing the lead role in the film. Ahead of her film's release, IndiaToday.in exclusively interviewed Taapsee Pannu, who spoke about the souvenir she took home from the sets of her movie.
In a conversation with us, Taapsee said that it is an overwhelming feeling to see India written on your jersey and it is because she doesn't think she has done anything to earn it.
"It is just that I am portraying a role, who really deserved to wear it, and who is owning it up. I can do just that. All I can do is do justice to the part, to the responsibility that is given to me. Every film, there is something that I take back home from something I have worn or used in the film. So, after this film, I took that jersey back home just to keep it as a souvenir of sorts from this film that I want to keep with me forever," said Taapsee.
Shabaash Mithu has been directed by Srijit Mukherji and backed by Viacom 18 Studios. Based on the life of Mithali Raj, the story of the film will revolve around the ups and downs of her life, with Taapsee Pannu playing her role. Besides Taapsee Pannu, Shabaash Mithu also features Vijay Raaz. The actor will be seen playing the role of Mithali Raj's coach in the movie. Shabaash Mithu is all set to hit the big screen on July 15, 2022.
