T20 World Cup: Stadiums in UAE to be at 70 per cent capacity, Oman venue to be assessed post cyclone
India Today
The 16-team tournament was moved to the Gulf states due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in India, but the Indian cricket body (BCCI) is still hosting the event.
Stadiums in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will operate at 70 percent capacity for the upcoming T20 World Cup, the organisers stated, though circumstances in Oman, where the preliminary stages will be held, have yet to be thoroughly assessed following a cyclone.
On Sunday, Tropical cyclone 'Shaheen' hit the coasts of Oman, including the capital of Muscat, only a week before the tournament's preliminary round matches begin on October 10.
