T20 World Cup: R Ashwin a top-class spinner, India can play 3 spinners vs Afghanistan - Sunil Gavaskar

T20 World Cup 2021: Afghanistan are 'extremely dangerous' and India can opt to play 3 spinners for their must-win clash on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, according to former India captain Sunil Gavaskar.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar on Tuesday said India can look at playing 3 spinners for their Super 12 match against Afghanistan in T20 World Cup 2021 in Abu Dhabi. Gavaskar said with Hardik Pandya bowling, India can afford to play an extra spinner for their must-win clash against the dangerous Afghanistan side.

Speaking to India Today, Sunil Gavaskar said India can look at bringing R Ashwin in place of Varun Chakravarthy, adding that Afghanistan might be able to play mystery spin better than most teams, given they have a few in their ranks.
