T20 World Cup: Pakistan restricted Scotland to 117/6 after putting up a total of 189/4 with captain Babar Azam scoring his fourth half century of the tournament. This Pakistan's 16th consecutive T20I win in the UAE and it helps them overtake New Zealand to retake the top spot in Group 2.
Pakistan got back to the top of the Group 2 table after losing the spot briefly to New Zealand on Sunday to finish the Super 12 stage as winners of their group. Pakistan are the only team in the tournament to have won all of their matches in the group and finish the Super 12 stage with 10 points.
Pakistan were earlier propelled to 189/5 thanks to Babar Azam's fourth half century of the tournament and Shoaib Malik's record innings towards the end. Shoaib scored as many as six sixes and a four in his 18-ball 54, which is the fastest half century by any Pakistan player in a T20 World Cup and the joint-fastest half century in this year's tournament.
