T20 World Cup: India beat Scotland by eight wickets with a whopping 81 balls remaining which made their net run rate the best in Group 2. However, they still trail New Zealand by two points as their dismal results in their first matches continue to take a toll.
India needed to register a big win against Scotland on Friday and they ended up registering their biggest ever win in a T20 international while chasing in terms of balls left. India dismissed Scotland for just 85 runs and then chased down the target in just 6.3 overs.
The result, coupled with their 66-run win over Afghanistan, boosted India's net run rate (NRR) to +1.619, which is the best in Group 2. However, they continue to trail second-placed New Zealand by two points, with both teams having played four matches each.
