T20 World Cup: New Zealand confirmed a spot in the semi-finals with an 8-wicket win over Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi in a result that ended India's chances of progressing beyond the Super 12 stage.

New Zealand cruised to an eight-wicket win over Afghanistan at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday in the T20 World Cup, thus finishing off any hopes India had of reaching the semi-finals of the tournament. New Zealand have sealed at least a second-place finish in Group 1 with India set to trail them by two points if they beat Namibia on Monday.

Pakistan go through to the semi-finals as group winners with eight points thus far from their four games. They face Scotland in their final Super 12 game on Sunday.
