T20 World cup: I would like to see Shardul Thakur play, he’s got the knack of taking wickets, says Dinesh Karthik
India Today
India’s wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik on Sunday urged the Team India management to play Shardul Thakur instead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar on Mohammad Shami against New Zealand.
Ahead of the important T20 World Cup match against New Zealand on October 31 in Dubai, veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik suggested only one change to Team India's starting XI. India lost their first match to Pakistan and will now have to get back on track in order to keep their hopes of making the semifinals alive.
In an interview with Cricbuzz, Karthik proposed that Shardul Thakur be included in the Indian lineup, citing the pacer's ability to pick wickets.
