T20 World Cup 2021: Mujeeb Ur Rahman became only the third spinner to pick up a 5-wicket haul in the showpiece event as Afghanistan defeated Scotland by a whopping margin of 130 runs in Sharjah on Monday.

Afghanistan laid down an early marker in the T20 World Cup 2021 as they spun a web around Scotland sealing a record 130-run win in their Super 12 match in Sharjah on Monday. Spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan shared 9 wickets between them as Scotland were bundled out for just 60 in 10.2 overs after Afghanistan posted 190 on the board.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked up 5 wickets and gave away just 20 runs in his 4-over quota against Scotland in Sharjah. Mujeeb picked up as many as 3 wickets in an over despite missing a hat-trick and returned to pick two more wickets as Scotland batters had no idea when it came to picking up his variations.
