T20 World Cup: Adam Zampa responds to Gautam Gambhir's take on David Warner's six off double-bounce ball
India Today
Adam Zampa said that Gautam Gambhir's take on David Warner's shot was 'interesting' but he had no issues with his Australia team mate hitting a six off a double-bounce ball during their T20 World Cup semi-final against Pakistan.
Australia spinner Adam Zampa countered Gautam Gambhir's view on David Warner hitting a six off a ball that bounced twice during Thursday's semi-final against Pakistan. Warner hit a delivery that slipped out of Mohammad Hafeez's hand and pitched twice for a six in the semi-final between Pakistan and Australia in Dubai. What an absolutely pathetic display of spirit of the game by Warner! #Shameful What say @ashwinravi99? pic.twitter.com/wVrssqOENW His point is that if this is right , that was right. If that was wrong , this is wrong too. Fair assessment? @plalor Absolutely it was a wonderful hit by @davidwarner31 . Great shot
Gambhir had termed Warner's actions as a "pathetic display of spirit of the game" while asking Australia spin great Shane Warne to condemn the opener. "It's an interesting take from Gautam Gambhir. It's a pretty big effort from David Warner and I think he had every right to," said Zampa on ABC Grandstand podcast.
