Syrian expats hold blood donation drive

Doha: The Syrian expatriate community in Qatar has organised a blood donation campaign to express its thanks to Qatar for supporting Syria in all international forums. The event is also aimed at emphasising the importance of blood donation as a lofty humanitarian initiative that many need.
President of Syrian Expatriate Community Council in Qatar, Engineer Muhammad Yassin Najjar expressed his thanks to H H Amir for his support to Syrian cause, most recently in the 76th session of the United Nations
General Assembly, which stressed the need not to neglect the Syrian cause and that the suffering of Syrians has been continued for ten years. Eng. Najjar said that the blood donation campaign comes to express the community’s deep love for State of Qatar and its great people, who are well-known for charitable initiatives and doing a lot in various ways of giving.
