Syllabus reduced by 30% for Classes 9, 10 due to divital divide: Odisha govt

The Odisha government decided to reduce the syllabus of Classes 9 and 10 due to the digital divide which doesn't allow all students to avail online classes.
With online education becoming the new normal since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the digital divide, whether it is the lack of internet connectivity or smartphones in the interior areas is a cause of concern for many. Taking these entire factors into consideration, the Odisha government curtailed the syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 in the state. The syllabus for students of Classes 9 and 10 will be reduced by 30% this year, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash informed India Today on Tuesday.More Related News
