Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021: Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane hit a 44-ball 54 in Mumbai's 17-run win over Services in a Group B match in Guwahati on Friday. Rahane had begun the tournament with a match-winning 75 against Karnataka on November 4.
India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane is making a case for himself ahead of the mega Indian Premier League auction next year with some fine early-tournament form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 20221. Rahane hit his second successive fifty as Mumbai defeated Services in a Group B match at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.
Rahane, who slammed 75 in their loss to Karnataka on Thursday, once again formed the cornerstone of their innings with a 44-ball-54 to power them to 154/7 after Services opted to bowl.
